Piedmont Mittens

£3.00

This is a pattern for a pair of basic mittens that will keep your hands so cosy and warm through the winter. There are two options; you can either make them plain or with two-stranded colour work. The design included in the pattern draws inspiration from Nordic knitting, but feel free to play around with any design that can be repeated over 6 stitches.

There are two options; you can either make them plain (Easy) or with two-stranded colour work (Intermediate/Advanced). The design included in the pattern draws inspiration from Nordic knitting, but feel free to play around with any design that can be repeated over 6 stitches.

This pattern is ideal for any knitters learning to knit in the round. You can either use the magic loop method or work the mittens on double pointed knitting needles (DPKNs).

You will need: 4mm and 5mm circular needles or DPKNs; a spare needle to hold resting stitches; some stitch markers; and a sewing needle.

Most importantly, you will need one or two balls of yarn to make the Piedmont Mittens, depending on whether or not you choose to follow the colour work option. I used The Meriwool by We Are Knitters, but any aran/worsted weight yarn will do.
